Scandia Journal of Medieval Norse Studies accepts submissions of articles
from many disciplines regarding the Viking Age and Medieval Scandinavia:
History, Literature, Archaeology, Politics, Mythology, Religion, Gender, Arts,
Everyday life, and others. Multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approaches are
more than welcome. The journal also accepts contributions and studies on the
reception of Vikings and Norse Mythology in the post-medieval world, both in
the visual arts, literature, media, and contemporary pop culture.
Submissions may be sent in articles (original and unpublished research);
reviews (of books published up to four years ago); translations of primary
sources; conference reports of academic events on Nordic themes that took place
up to four years ago.
Contributions are accepted in English, Spanish, French, Italian and
Portuguese. Submission guidelines are available on the website.
Submissions must be sent no later than August 30, 2025, directly through the website.
